As recommended in the maiden report of Campaign Against Poverty Ghana on its first visit to Mpintimpi in the Birim North of the Eastern Region of Ghana, the organization again visited the community on 24thJanuary 2020 to donate some items to the residents of the community.
As revealed by the prudent and indefatigable assessment exercise which was undertaken on 30th August 2019, the living conditions and livelihoods of residents at Mpintimpi are subpar. There is inadequate access to quality health care delivery, limited job opportunities, marginal way of life where persons with disabilities are excluded in various aspects of life especially jobs, low income, etc. Most of the residents also hardly meet the basic needs needed for their sustenance.
As part of Campaign Against Poverty Ghana’s quest to ameliorate the existing living conditions at Mpintimpi in the Eastern Region of Ghana, the organization decided to undertake both short-term and medium-term interventions.
The organization provided some basic items to the people of Mpintimpi during the visit in order to assuage their difficulty in meeting their needs for sustenance.
In addition, the organization has acquired a piece of farmland to be used for poultry farming in order to create economic opportunities in the community.
